IT is night at the Smithsonian Institute, a museum in Washington, DC. The lights are out. There are no guides (导游) around… But something strange is happening. The museum exhibits (陈列品) are coming to life!
Among them is Kahmunrah. He is an evil Pharaoh (法老). He died 3,000 years ago. Now he and his men want to take over the museum and let loose (放出) an underworld army.
Who's going to stop them?
Larry Daley is the man. He used to be a museum guard. He is not alone. He has scientist Albert Einstein and US President Abraham Lincoln on his side. Another comrade is Amelia Earhart, a great woman pilot (飞行员).
Can Larry and his friends beat the Pharaoh? See the latest Hollywood movie Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. It opened in Chinese theaters on May 26.
How it all began
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is the sequel (续集) to 2006's Night at the Museum.
In the first movie, Larry is a museum guard. He can't get a steady (稳定的) job. He thinks he is a loser (失败者) . One night everything in the museum comes to life: cowboys, a dinosaur (恐龙) and the former American president Theodore Roosevelt. Larry tries his best to get everything back in order. |
